Time for School Already?

School is approaching. With the advertisement of the local school lists I have to come to the realization that my little ones are getting older. My eldest is born just after the cut off for the school year so I get another year with her at home before I have to make the final decision on whether or not she’ll be attending kindergarten at either a private or public school, or if I will be teaching her at home. Until then, we will be doing a homeschool preschool schedule. This 5 Little Speckled Frogs Printable Coloring Book will be part of our curriculum.

A couple of our cousins came to visit. One of them was a few months older than my eldest and could write out her name! I had no idea my kids were supposed to actually be learning to write yet! But to give myself a break, their mom was formerly an elementary school teacher and is a pro with kids. My first true interaction with kids was when I gave birth.

Anyway, in an effort to work on my childrens’ handwriting and holding pens and pencils, I created this coloring book. We are also working on counting and colors so I wanted to make a coloring book that covered all of that. We can even sing along to the nursery rhyme as we color.

The book features frog illustrations beside the number representation as well as the sight word of that number.

This coloring book is free to download and print!

I designed it so that you can just print, fold, staple, and you’re done. You don’t have to reorder the pages.

Set your printer to “Print on both sides of paper,” “flip on short edge,” and print pages 2-13 (the first page is a terms and conditions page.)  Your printer setup should look like the page below.

Once you’ve printed, fold the stack of papers along the center black line. Staple the sheets together along the fold.

I hope you enjoy the download! Let me know in the comments below how your kids liked it.
